Child Evangelism Fellowship® is a Bible-centered, worldwide organization composed of born-again believers whose purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, to disciple them in the Word of God and establish them in a local church for Christian living. CEF of East Texas is the state office of the international ministry.
CEF has built the foundation of children’s ministry from the Lord’s call to “go into all the world and preach the Good News to all creation” Mark 16:15, with a focus on reaching children, as "...your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish" Matthew 18:14. With a vision to reach 1 million Texas children with the Gospel, CEF East Texas partners with churches and the faith community to share the truth and love of Jesus.
Good News Club programs are designed to engage children with Jesus on their level and in their environment. GNC™ focuses on Bible education, moral values, character development and respect for authority. Clubs include dynamic Bible lessons, active worship songs, fun scripture memory, games, prayer time, snacks and fellowship. Good News Clubs are free of charge, and require a permission form signed by a parent or guardian.
The summer outreach programs include 5-Day Clubs® and Christian Youth in Action®. The summer ministries bring Jesus to kids in neighborhoods where He is needed most, by young people eager to proclaim the Gospel. Summer clubs are taught by CYIA™ teens and adults that reach kids with the Good News of Christ at parks, neighborhood centers, apartment complexes, shelters and trailer communities.
